NO ACTION TAKEN ON HORSE MEAT USED IN BEEF PRODUCTS

For all we know it still could go on. EU demands proper labelling but Cameron ignores it. There was not on prosecution.

It had been six months since the horse meat scandal was revealed by tests in the Republic of Ireland.  Horse meat was added in packages labelled 100 per cent beef mince.

MPs raised the matter in the House of Common and questioned why there had not been any prosecution since the discovery in January 2013. Apparently it spread right across Europe and involved big supermarkets chains Liddle, Aldi, Tesco, Birds Eye and Iceland plus it had been found in beef products and school meals.  The scandal in the UK and Ireland has still not been given a full account or being dealt with accordingly the illegal trade.

The Environment, Food and Rural Affair Committee explained that it is evidentially a complex network of companies trading and misleading beef and beef products which is fraudulent. The head of the committee Anne McIntosh pointed out further there is a slow process of the investigation, prosecution and assurance of eliminating the contamination.  Why are the responsible politicians dragging their feet when it is a criminal act to add horse meat when it states 100 per cent beef?

The Food Standard Agency is also lucking behind its responsibility and has not the effect required. It should have the power to investigate more regular tests which were obviously not done for quite some time. Let’s face it; it is the FSA sole purpose to ensure the food is not contaminated.  Again the government is lagging behind on its responsibilities especially Prime Minister David Cameron should have ensured that strong measures were taken immediately and in every way.

MPs were informed that in EU-tests 14 out of 836 tests on Horse Meat from the UK showed positive containing the pain killer bute. This is really the main concern about the whole scandal. It is not the Horse Meat as such which is dangerous but the pain killer it could contain. Bute gets injected in Race Horses or other Sports with horses to kill pain if they are insured. Apparently it is quite widely used to enable horses being put back on races or other sport activities.

Needless to say the injection must be very powerful to have an effect on a horse and it has been established that it is very harmful to humans. It can cause heart -, kidney - or liver damage or failure.

It is also known that not many horses live their lives out on green pastures after they get past their best in performing.  It gives an idea of how many horses being killed before their time and horse meat being used in products. Therefore it is incredible that the committee insists horse meat were found only in “small” numbers of beef products but demanded that a regular testing should be enforced on all meat and meat based products which includes ready meals and frozen meat products. This demand also came from the MPs.
The current scandal also shows a number of loopholes in the horse passport and movement which needs to be closed and properly monitored.

GOVERNMENT GIVES ANOTHER CONTRACT TO G4S -- Updated 30 March, 2015

UPDATE: 30 March, 2015 -- G4S is now in another scandal. The plans are to cut Cleaners and ancillary workers at the Lister Hospital, Stevenage, the hourly rate down to £5.98. It would not be friends of the Tories low payment and threatening at the same time to sack 300 worker if they do not accept. They announced that they will hire people on a lower rate.  Ed Miliband's promise to cap the contractors' profit has just come in time or is it because of his announcement did the G4S already lower the payments?  A fine example why private companies should be kicked out and never receive a contract.

UPDATE: 29 April, 2014 --  Can it BE true that David Cameron plans to privatise the police force?  The contract, so it is said, will be given to G4S.  If it becomes reality, after all the scandal G4S had, then David Cameron and his Cabinet insulting once more the people of Britain and just for money. Money in which he and his friends are swimming in anyway but their greed do not seem to have any limit.

UPDATE;  8 August 2013 -- G4S has stepped back from bidding for another tagging contract. Does it mean they want to stand a chance for the polygraph tests for Probation? Whichever the reason will they improve their service?

Another privatisation, but this time on the quiet, hits the Probation Service. The Government wants to sell off 70 per cent of the Probation Service.

The most incredible fact in this saga is that the government is tempted to give the contract to the G4S in spite of having constant scandals and is facing a police probe into the £50million allegedly swindled on the contract for prisoner tagging fiasco. It had been discovered G4S had billed the government for 18,000 but the true figure was 15,000. The remaining figures were either dead, abroad or in prison.  Even Mr Grayling the Justice Secretary, admitted G4S could have cheated the tax payers over £50millon over the last 15 years.  There again it is amazing that no earlier check was made. After that admission and statement is it twice incredible for Mr Grayling and the government even to consider this company.

This new contract is to check out criminals ready for probation if they tell the truth. It will be monitored by a polygraph tests and involved sex offenders before they freed.  It would show if they are “honest” to ensure there will be no risk to the public. G4S is in favour to win the contract.

A probation officer pointed out the terrible record of this company and can’t understand the government even to consider giving the contract to them. This probation work is responsible to decide to free the most dangerous criminals back on to the street. He thinks it is a recipe for disaster to give the contract of polygraph testing to this company with such bad record. The result of it will be when it is too late and the result will be terrible tragedies.

It was only a year ago when G4S was absolutely incapable to manage the Olympics contract. For a company which is the biggest security company in the world is was nothing but a disgrace.  The government had to call in the military and police to ensure the safety of the athletes and public. How on earth can you still consider this company for another contract leave alone such a vital one as in probation where live of the public could be endangered?

G4S, Serco and Sodexo run the security of 14 private prisons and are all in the bidding for contracts when the probation service is sold off.  The leaked documents show the scheme is rushed through so speedily that it could endanger the public.

A further revelation coming from Mr Grayling is that he wanted charities and volunteers groups dealing with criminals because they could do a better job than probation officer. In some case they certainly could but doesn’t it smell of David Cameron’s big dream of building a ‘Big Society’ with volunteers which to my mind means taking advantage of already the down-trodden public hopefully volunteering with no pay or very little.

Very clever Mr Cameron how about you and your friends volunteering to be Prime Minister and ministers; you would still be more than well off.  Now that would be a good idea and bring the deficit down.

TORIES' EMPTY PROMISE ON TAX AVOIDERS/EVADERS CRACKDOWN - Updated 11 April, 2016

UPDATED: 11 April, 2016  Why all these false promises when
most of the tax havens are British Isles. The biggest of all tax havens is British Virgin Isle and most the Tax Avoiders are Tories' friends and donors. PM May has promised now and it is doubtful she would stop it.

UPDATED:  10 July. 2015  --  Chancellor George Osborne promised, again, to retrieve £7.5billlion from tax avoiders.  This promise is hard to accept after all the other promises resulted into nothing. The very fact that most of the Tax Avoiders are donors to the Tory Party and surely would stop donating plus most of the tax havens are British Isle. The very fact that only four tax officers working 124 cases shows the determination of retrieving the taxes and the last report gave £39trillion in tax haven tells it all..

UPDATE:  18 May, 2015  --  In spite of all the repeats of promises and having not kept them maybe this time, winning again undeservedly in GE, he will crackdown on tax avoiders. It is doubtful because they all his friend and donate to the Tory Party. Well we see.

UPDATE: 5 April, 2015  --  Cameron is amazing in some way because after four years of promising, a number of times, to deal with the tax avoiders, and nothing was done, he still promises it again in his General Election campaign.  It is unbelievable repeating himself about it and not doing a thing about it.

All his many repeated promises sound hollow after five years in office and not having done them. It is pathetic to let Cameron ran a campaign like that. He has 95 Top Adviser costing the taxpayers £4million a year.  Than they come out with repeated promises after five years in office and not kept one promise from 2010 election.

UPDATE: 2 January 2014 -- A new report revealed that only four tax officers working on 124 cases of tax avoiders. It does not convince the public Mr Cameron being serious about the crack down on tax avoiders.

UPDATE:  13 September 2013  --  Mr Cameron's own father had and his father-in-law has an off-shore account and avoids taxes. He is a very rich man and has a big estate in the Highland of Scotland where the family spent one of their holidays. Mr Cameron could start right on his own front-door-step to crack down on TAX AVOIDERS.  His own wife runs stationary printing company supplying the House of Parliament and this company belongs to a group who has a offshore account in the British Virgin Islands.  Margaret Thatcher demanding a State Funeral and being paid for by taxpayers only declared £5million estate but her £12million mansion is own by a trust in the British Virgin Islands. With all these facts how can Cameron step oit and tell his people that he will crackdown on Tax Avoiders? It is only one per cent from what realy goes on.

Mr Cameron is furious about the big companies’ tax avoiders who shift their profit from one country to another to bring the tax bills down.  It is a disgrace that big companies like Google, Amazons and Starbuck don’t pay the full tax to the UK.

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development making a proposal powerful to stop big international corporation to pay the full amount of tax to the UK instead of moving their money around the world to lower the tax bills on profit.

Although Mr Cameron had the full intention to bring these big corporation down to pay their full tax bill and he was beating the drums at meeting with G8 and now at G20 he must face the truth that these international corporations have very powerful tax advisors. If he brings in new legislation and apparently he had great support from other countries their powerful accountancy corporations will find another way to avoid paying the full tax.

David Cameron gave a big speech about his achievements of finding a way to this dilemma.  Already that he had a report from Richard Collier, tax partner at PricewaterCoopers, makes it very doubtful.  PwC is one of the biggest companies of auditors and accountancy on the international market.  Although Mr Collier stated the proposals is the biggest reform of global taxation in a lifetime.  The whole statement and situation is contradicting and controversial.  Mr Collier is working with Mr Cameron and at the same time a tax partner at PwC.

Murray Worthy, tax campaigner at anti poverty charity War on Want, put it into the right content when he said: “This plan is papering over the cracks in a broken system, rooted in an outdated and irrelevant model of corporate taxation.”
Why does Mr Cameron always give big speeches convincing himself but the not the public especially the experts?  Surely he must be aware that in politics his statements are so quickly seen through by experts and even the public.

CAMERON PAID PRICEWATERHOUSECOOPERS £2.7million

David Cameron got himself into hot water (again) when he paid £2.7million to PricewaterhouseCoopers to investigate the high mortality rate in 14 NHS trusts.  The problem is that PwC was also engaged to audit four of those NHS trusts. This is a clear way of “conflict of interest” and it started a great row in the House of Commons.  For their auditor work they were paid thousand of pounds but the full figure was not disclosed.

Furthermore, in the 61-page report the figure of nearly £3million paid was not mentioned.  There was only a sum of £169,000 for travels, £28,000 for filming and £30,000 for legal advice.  This assessment of the Staffordshire hospital scandal and overseen by NHS medical director Sir Bruce Keogh was requested by Mr Cameron.

==================================================

Another condemning fact is that the Electoral Commission confirms the PwC has donated non-cash worth £545,000 to the Conservative Party in “staff” and “consultancy services” since Cameron became Tory leader.

In view of all of these facts it makes one wonder does the Prime Minister David Cameron ever think about the consequences of his decisions?  There is definitely more than one conflict of interest and another investigation could be on the table. This Tory Government seemed to create nothing but investigation which most of them is nothing but a storm in teacup and consultancies in both cases is always cost the taxpayers vast amount of money which surely could be avoidable.  Most of those consultancies have commercial links with organisations they are supposed to auditing.

Dr Clive Peedell, co-leader of the National Action party stated that there needs to be another investigation.  With all due respect but it will be yet another investigation which costs again a large sum of money paid by the taxpayers. We, the public, would not like to add up all the cost of investigations, some were more than necessary and overdue but quite a number were either no result which was a waste of money or not necessary in the first place. There again it filled the pockets of people who run the investigation and emptied the pockets of taxpayers which were already empty.

Surely David Cameron could be more responsible if he would not have session about gay marrying or not; the HS2 most luxurious train; the EU’s £3billion rebate yet saving would be more th £19billion membership; waving his stick at the tax avoiders but never gets it resolved' he could get his house in order. It is very hard to see any sense in his actions.
